Implement 2008 agreement: Sangarsh Samiti | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 28: A meeting of core group of Sangarsh Samiti was convened under the chairmanship of its Convenor Brig.(retd.) Suchet Singh which was attended by various organisations demanded the implementation of agreement signed between State government.and Sangarsh Samiti during 2008 Sh.Amarnath Land Agitation. The meeting convened after the state cabinet’s approval compensation and inquiry commission to inquire into all the 17 incidents in Kashmir valley during current turmoil in Kashmir. Samiti criticised the govt.for ignoring Jammu people . Brig.Suchet Singh said govt.should fulfill its agreement with the people of Jammu. He said it was another example of discrimination with the people of Jammu. ``Our 13 workers laid down their lives having tricolour in hands.saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jay” , our govt betrayed with Jammu people by announcing ex-gratia to those who were protesting against India’’, he said. Samiti also criticised Jammu-based ministers for not raising their voice against anti-national Kashmiri leaders by ignoring the martyrs of Amarnath land agitation. Samiti asked the govt.to fulfill its agreement otherwise Samiti will decide its future course of action.
