PDP dubs Omar as inept CM | | |
Early Times Report Rajouri, July 28: Showing solidarity with the people of Kashmir Valley, Peoples Democratic Party leaders in Rajouri Poonch have termed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as inept saying that he has mishandled the situation in Jammu & Kashmir due to his lack of experience. Party leaders and workers hold function to celebrate Foundation Day of PDP at Mandi Poonch under the chairmanship of Shamim Ganie, State Youth secretary of the PDP where the leaders passed a resolution showing solidarity with the people of Kashmir valley. The leaders also demanded centre government to call its forces back to the barracks. Speaking on the occasion, Shamim Ganie said the situation in Kashmir has deteriorated only due to mis-handling of the situation. He said that the issue was not too big to handle. “Omar Abdullah has failed to handle this situation and there is no more moral ground for him to remain on chair”, he said adding that forces have also gone out of control and there is an immense need to repeal AFSPA for the interest of the residents of J&K state. Shamim Ganie said that if government will not come up with concrete steps towards imposing restrictions on forces, they will be forced to took to streets in Rajouri and Poonch. “We are ready to follow Kashmir like agitations in Poonch Rajouri if government will not respond the PDP’s proposal of downsizing the forces and repealing AFSPC”, Ganie said. Meanwhile a programme was also held at district headquarter Rajouri under the leadership of Tazeem Dar, Block President of the parental party in which the leaders expressed displeasure over the attitude of governments towards restricting Kashmiri people in their houses. “Govt has house arrest crores of Kashmiri people and this is clear cut human rights violation”, he said, adding, if there would have been Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on the chair of CM, the situation would have different.
