Take action against Kar for disposing Cong’s property in Valley: Sambyal
7/28/2010 9:16:29 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, July 28: To review functioning of the organisation, one day workshop of the block level workers to Congress Seva Dal was held today at Jammu under the chairmanship of Balwinder Singh Sambyal, chief organizer of Congress Seva Dal.
In the workshop Seva Dal workers discussed prevailing situation in the State and role of Seva Dal in strengthening peace, brotherhood and communal harmony in this State. In the workshop a resolution was unanimously passed on the prevailing political situation in the State.
In the resolution Seva Dal urged Congress high command to conduct an inquiry to single out those veteran politicians and ex-ministers who have sold property of the party in Srinagar office. Resolution pointed out that property worth crores was sold by the former Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Ghulam Rasool Kar in connivance with another senior leader from Jammu. Resolution pointed out that not even a single penny was deposited by them in the account of party. Kar had pocketed the whole amount by selling property of the party and it is high time to conduct an inquiry.
Seva Dal has decided to bring this matter to the notice of party high command including All India Congress Committee chief Madam Sonia Gandhi so that appropriate action should be taken against Ghulam Rasool Kar and others who were involved in selling party’s property. Resolution also demanded that a criminal case should be registered against those who sold party’s property and swindled the whole amount.
Earlier addressing the workshop, B S Sambyal demanded that those politicians who had betrayed the party in last assembly elections and contested as rebels against official party candidates should not be allowed to re-enter the party.
Sambyal called upon the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief to convene executive committee meeting as early as possible to discuss these issues like role of Kar in selling party’s property. Re-entry to dissidents and prevailing political situation in the State. He regretted that since appointment of new PCC chief no meeting of the executive committee has been held so far. Sambyal said that there is emergent need to discuss such important issues as early as possible as Congress is major player in the coalition government.
Those who addressed the convention were Vipan Nischal (NIT) , JK Koul, Yash Pal Manhas, Varinder Sharma, Jagbeer Singh, Surinder Singh Manhas, Ashish Mangotra, Ravi Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Sanjeshwar Singh, Rajesh Gupta, Jagdish Raj Prashar, Rajinder Singh, Hazi Shakar Din, Naiv Hussain, Rajiv Abrol, Davinder Sharma, Rakesh Abrol, Rama Kant Sharma & others.
