Time to wage war against NC led anti-people regime: PDP

Jammu, July 28: Terming National Conference led coalition as failed government, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that it was high time to launch a war against this anti-people government as this regime has compounded woes of the masses due to wrong policies being propagated by this regime.
Addressing a function which was held today at Jammu in connection with the foundation day of the party, senior party leaders said that people of the State have started comparing performance of the present dispensation with the previous Congress-PDP led coalition regime because woes of the common masses have been mounting due to wrong policies being adopted by the National Conference led government.
In connection with the foundation day of the party, various functions were held all over the Jammu province in which large number of party workers participated .
PDP leaders pointed out that the previous regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has not only carved out a path of equitable development but also initiated a policy for establishing lasting peace in this region. “It is unfortunate that the present regime has failed to carry forward the policies pursued by the previous PDP led regime” party leaders said.
Pointing towards total collapse of administration during the last 18 months, PDP leaders said that legalization of the corruption was the only noticeable achievements of this regime. Taking a leaf from the recent statements of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, party leaders said that Omar Abdullah himself has admitted that there was rampant corruption in his government as he has failed to control corrupt practices being adopted by his ministers.
Recalling achievements of the PDP-Congress regime in the state, they said the previous regime had set vibrant and progressive standard of government in which all regions and sub-regions were equally involved. They, however, said that present government has failed to carry forward that standard.
PDP leaders observed that situation in state in general and Kashmir Valley has been deteriorating with every passing day due to wrong policies of the this regime and incident of human right violation have been increasing but the government was not seriously stopping such incident.
“It is unfortunate that the State Government has not learnt any lesson from the past”, they said and observed that situation has been sliding back to pre-2002 situation due to the wrong policies of government.
Tirlok Singh Bajwa, Vice President Thakur Balbir Singh, general secretary, Daman Bhasin,Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi,Fallail Singh, Hussain Ali wafa, R. K Bali, Thakur Suram Singh, Surjeet Kour, Vijaya Dogra,H.R Chargotra, Suresh Sharma, Rajinder Manhas, Nadeem Khan, Mahinder Kotwal, Dr. Mumtaz, Adv Haji Majid and others addressed the function.
In connection with the foundation day of the party, a function was held at Poonch under the chairmanship of Imtiyaz Bandey, zonal president of the party. Senior party leaders from Poonch addressed the function and exhorted the party workers to spread message of party among the masses.
