Boy rescued in Kotranka after 38-hr long operation

Rajouri, July 28: Following 38 hours long operation launched by army, a boy who was caught in flood in Budhal tehsil has been rescued by troopers making use of army chopper late evening today.
As per reports, a boy Mohammad Alam, a resident of Kotranka area has been rescued by a team of troopers deputed on the rescue operation which was launched by the army on Tuesday.
As per sources, Alam was wondering on the banks of river Aans in Kotranaka area in Rajouri district at about 9:30 am on Tuesday when the stream was flooded and he was by it. A tree in the middle of the river has helped him to remain alive for about 38 hours in the water.
Eyewitness revealed that the boy was shouting for help till late night but he stopped shouting after 8 pm and the residents presumed him dead. However, they said that when they visit the area in the morning, the boy was alive and shouting for help.
Meanwhile, army was called for rescue operation who pressed a chopper and rescued the boy in late evening. He has been hospitalized for treatment.
