| Escalating of vegetable prices, SS(T) hold demonstration | | |

Jammu, July 29: A massive protest rally was taken out by Shiv Sena (Balasahib Thakery) against both state and central government which failed to control the prices of vegetables which are escalating day by day.
Addressing the protestors, date president of SS (T), Ashok Gupta said that the UPA government committed before the masses at the time of election that eatables and essential commodities shall be given due consideration and their prices shall be maintained and will not be allowed to enhance, so that poorer of the poor can survive. But it is quite reverse and added the UPA government has adopted every method to increase the prices of essential commodities vegetables and the poor is being crushed under draconian hands of UPA government. He said that Gobi costs 40/- Kg and added price hike percentage is gone up by 55.32% in which grains (food grains) increased by 5.41% Ghee by 1.31%.
He demanded immediate checkup of price hike and lowering down the prices in the interest of poor. Amongst others who spoke includes Pinka, Rajeev Bandhari, Satish Kumar, Ashish, Toney and Ashok Kumar.
