| Bunker collapses near LoC; jawan killed, another hurt | | |

JAMMU, July 29: An army bunker gave way to heavy rains on the Line of Control (LoC) at Bruti in Balakote area of Poonch Wednesday, resulting in the death of a BSF jawan and injuries to another.
Official sources said the bunker collapsed due to heavy rains near the LoC at Bruti as a result of which Head Constable Narpath Singh of 76 Bn of BSF was killed.
Another jawan, whom sources identified as Santo Dass, was injured and hospitalised.
Meanwhile, two houses collapsed due to incessant rains in Bafliaz area of Poonch. However, there was no loss of life, or injury to anyone in the incident.A mud house collapsed in Warwan area of Kishtwar district, the sources added.
