| Motivation lecture on NSS held at M.A.M College | | |

Jammu, July 30: To motivate college students to join NSS a motivational lecture was organized by the NSS unit of the M.A.M College and was attended by staff and about 200 students of the college. The NSS Coordinator, University of Jammu. Dr. Jasbir Singh who was the chief guest highlighted the history of NSS and its role in eliminating the existing social evils and to bring change in the approach in solving the community problems. He motivated the students to join NSS and narrated his own experience of being motivated to join NSS. Senior NSS volunteers Kiran Sharma who visited South Korea under Youth Exchange programme and Rahul Kundal spoke of their achievements and experience while working with NSS. The Principal, Dr. Ajeet Angral who presided over the function, motivated the students to join the NSS and play active role to improve the level of college NSS activities. It was decided on the occasion that some rural based projects will be taken by the NSS unit of the college for mass Education, career orientation programmes, environment protection and social issues. A prize distribution function was also held wherein, the NSS volunteers were given prized for the activities organized in the previous session (2009-10). Prof. Karna Singh Mahesh Sharma, Physical Director was also present on the occasion. Prof Hans Raj, NSS Programme officer of the college presented the vote of thanks.
