| PDP Legislature party meet discusses Kmr situation | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 1:
A meeting of the Legislature party of the Peoples Democratic Party was held here today to discuss the grave situation prevailing in Kashmir.
The meeting presided over by party patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and attended by party President Mehbooba Mufti besides other senior leaders.
PDP leaders held in depth discussions over the current situation in valley. The party leaders expressed grief over killings in Pampore and at other places today. Expressing solidarity with the people in this hour of grave crisis the party leaders condemned use of excessive and brutal force on unprotected peaceful civilians. The unabated killing of youth by a trigger happy government it was felt could not subdue people's sentiment for peace, dignity and resolution.
The party discussed the strategy to respond to this unprecedented situation and decided that it would in all circumstances stand by the people of the state.
Muzaffar Hussain Beig, Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, Abdul Aziz Zargar, Mohammed Dilawar Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra, Qazi Mohammed Afzal, Mohd Altaf Bukhari and legislators who attended included Abdul Rehman Veeri, Mohd Sartaj Madni, Nizamudin Bhat, Murtaza Ahmad Khan MLC, Syed Bashir Ahmad, Mohd Khalil Band, Mansoor Hussain, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Syed Asgar Ali, Mohd Rafiq Khan, and Ab Razaq Zawoora.
