| J&K peace front floated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 1: Various parties which include Samajwadi Party (SP), International Democratic Party and other like minded parties in a joint meeting floated a J&K peace front.
The meeting which was chaired by the state SP chief Sheikh Abdul Rehman discussed the present political scenario in J&K state expressed great resentment anguish over the discouraging and destroying the basic unit of democracy.
With a view to chalk out future course of action coordinate the functioning of the Front, a committee was framed with Sheikh Abdul Rehman as chief patron, I.D. Khajuria as convener, Ram Singh Chauhan advocate Jamil Akhter Qazmi as co-convenors and several members including Param Ram Poonchhi, Pritam Gupta, Sham Lal, Varinder Singh, Mohan Lal, S. Daljeet Singh, advocate D.K. Singh, Mohd Shafi Sheikh, Pt. Des Raj, Fayaz Ahmed Bhatt (Kmr), Bihari Lal Kandley, Amrit Varsha (Ramban), Subash Singh (Samba) etc.
