KHC demands change of guards in J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 1: The advisory body of Kashmiri Hindu conference which met under the chairmanship of M.L. Thusoo impressed upon the Government of India to ask state Governor to dismiss Omar Abdullah government as the situation in the valley is worsening day by day. Thusoo said the state government has miserably failed to restore peace and order and apprehensions are that the disturbances may spread to other parts of the state. The intelligentsia, poets, writers artists, opinion-makers even party workers have sidelined at this crucial juncture instead of combating anti-social elements on roadsides. He said situation is grim and the signals are clear that Government of India needs to act and save Kashmir. The leaders in the conference stressed upon Abdullah to resign in his own interests. Let the law and constitution take its own course and other political parties united to form a new stable government to heal the wounds of the sufferers. Kashmiris have rejected Omar Abdullah government and has proved misfit to grace this big responsibility. The other leaders who participated include P.L. Koul Budgam, K.K. Ganjoo, A.K. Sadhoo, M.L. Daftari, G.L. Bhat, S.N. Raina and J.L. Mantoo.
