| 40 kg RDX, heroin seized from | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI: Forty kilograms of deadly RDX and 1 kg heroin worth Rs 5 cr in the international market were recovered by security forces from a militant hideout in Santo Gali forests of Nowshehra near here early this morning.
The hideout, carved out by militants in a natural cave in the woods close to the Line of Control (LoC), was searched out by police and 13 JAK Light Infantry troops on a tip-off, police sources said.
The search of the hideout led jawans to the recovery of 40 kg RDX, 1 kg heroin, 3 Chinese pistols along with 60 rounds and 455 AK rounds, the sources added. The hideout was later destroyed by the jawans.
It is believed that the consignment was hidden there by infiltrating militants to be taken out at some opportune moment.
