| BJP Chief Gadkari donates 5 lakhs to Balniketan, Amphalla | | |

JAMMU, Aug 2: In a simple but impressive function held in the premises of Ved Mandir Balniketan, Ambphalla, Jammu, a cheque for Rs. 5 lakhs was presented by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas to Ved Mandir Balniketan President Amar Chand Gupta in the presence of a large number of functionaries of both the organizations.
The cheque had been sent by the BJP National President Nitin Gadkari to the State Unit of the party to be handed over to the Balniketan authorities. During his first visit to Jammu on February 25 this year, BJP chief had also visited Balniketan, and spent some time with the orphan children. A total of 120 children from different parts of the state affected by the ongoing militancy are taken care of by the Ved Mandir Balniketan (for boys) and Ved Mandir Balika-Niketan (for the girl-children).
Expressing thanks on behalf of the Balniketan, Amar Chand Gupta said that it is a noble cause for which the BJP has come forward to extend financial help and urged other organizations to emulate this humanitarian gesture.
