| HWA demands release of pension | | |

JAMMU AUG 2: Handicapped Welfare Association (HWA) Akhnoor organized a meeting on Monday under the Block President Sushil Sharma in which hundred of disable people participated.
Addressing the meeting, Sushil said that the pension of handicapped persons is pending for last ten months, which is not release by the department after the compilation documents filled and deposit to the Social Welfare Department. He further said that the staff members of the concerned department of Akhnoor misguided the disable persons who visit the office daily. He informed that that local MLA and Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma assured to the association that their genuine demand will be fulfilled on priority, but there is no action till date. Sushil Sharma warned the government to release there last ten month pension before 15th August, otherwise the disable people will hold an agitation against the department.
Others who present in the meeting were Ramesh Lal, Shanker Dass, Sai Dass, Vijay Kumar, Sham Lal, Vikas Sharma and Tarsem Lal.
