‘Kashmiris’ too want peace & development ‘

JAMMU, AUG 2: Baring handful of miscreants responsible for present turmoil in the valley, majority of Kashmiri people are nationalist and desire development with peace there.
This was stated by BJP State Vice-President Sofi Yousuf while addressing a press conference at Jammu along with State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, secretaries Kashmir province Nazir Ahmed and Sheikh Abdul Rashid, BJYM President Ashiq Dar and BJP Muslim Morcha leader Latif Ahmed Khan.
Sofi Yousuf said that right from 1947 there have been some elements in the valley working at the dictates of their masters across the border and provoking the people to indulge in anti-national activities. He said during the last 20 years of militancy thousands of innocent civilians and security personnel have lost their lives to defeat the nefarious designs of separating the state from India.
Pointing to the recent incidents of stone pelting, Sofi said that the innocent youth of the Kashmir are being misguided and exploited by the separatists and anti-national elements to malign the image of security forces who have been rendering splendid services.
Later, he appealed to the MLAs of valley, irrespective of their political affiliations, to go to the people of their respective constituencies and educate them about the grave consequences of the present turmoil .
Meanwhile, Chander Prakash Ganga expressed concern over withdrawal of security of BJP former State President Daya Krishan Kotwal (MLC) and a number of other senior leaders, who have been working in far flung and militancy infested areas of the State to boost the morale of the nationalist forces there.
Shri Ram Sena, Jammu –Kashmir, held a meeting under the chairmanship of Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena, who have shown their resentment over the present situation in Kashmir Valley. The members of the Shri Ram Sena have said that the attitude shown by the hardcore elements and anti-social elements in Kashmir Valley has affected the Shri Amarnath ji pilgrimage. Speaking at the meeting Mr.Rajiv Mahajan, President of the Sena, said that the administration of State Government should be handed over to Dr.Farooq Abdullah, to take over the charge from his son Omar Abdullah, in the interest of the public in general and in the interest of the Administration of State Govt, in particular, otherwise their should be Governor’s rule to be made applicable in the J&K State to avoid futher lossess of the lives of human beings in Kashmir Valley and have the peaceful atmosphere.
Among others present in the meeting incuded Sarv Shri. Bal Krishan Arora (Sectary), Mr. Vinay Gupta (Vice President), Deepak Sharma (Jr.Sectary), Parul Gupta (Youth Vice President), Anil Chopra (Industries President),Pawan Choudhary(Vice President),Raghvir Krishan Gupta(Organiser),Vijay Gupta(Treaser),Shiv Kumar Sharma,Ashok Choudhary.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jammu held a meeting under the Presidentship of Sh. Y.V. Sharma and expressed concern over present situation in Kashmir. The death of the members of civilian society in such a large number is totally unacceptable to the civil society. The Chamber appeals to all sections involved to bring an end to this impasse at the earliest .
