| BJP MLAs to stage dharna on Aug 6 | | |

Jammu, Aug 2: Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs will stage dharna outside Raj Bhawan on August 6 to register their protest against the total failure of the NC-Congress government in maintaining law and order in the valley.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of party legislators, chaired by State President Shamsher Singh Manhas and leader of the legislators party Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta.
Participating in the meeting, party MLAs expressed their concern over the decision of the NC-Congress government to constitute Commission of Inquiry against security forces, who have been rendering their constitutional duty to enforce curfew and restriction orders on the instance of the state government.
The meeting also took strong exception of the statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah describing the situation as a political problem, which is definetly law and order problem only and it is the government itself responsible for such a situation.
It was further decided that all the functionaries of the party will also stage dharna alongwith the MLAs. The meeting was attended by MLAs Jagdish Raj Sapolia, Bharat Bhushan, Prof. Gharu Ram and Shyam Choudhary and party’s senior functionaries including Chander Mohan Sharma and Balbir Ram.
