Kathua police solves several theft cases | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 2: Kathua police solved several theft cases and recovered stolen property worth lakhs. Police has also claimed to have arrested six burglars in different raids conducted in and outside the state. Addressing press conference, SSP, Kathua, Gareeb Dass said that Kathua police arrested five burglars and recovered stolen property from their possession. Identified as Gourav, Sahil, Bunty Sunil and Parveen,all residents of Kathua stole garments worth lakhs from the shop owned by Ashok Kumar few days ago. In another theft case, police arrested a mobile thief .The theft occurred in a mobile shop owned by one Tarseem Lal. Police, as a part of investigation, lifted finger prints of the thief. After rigorous exercise police came to know the whereabouts of a thief and accordingly arrested him from Punjab. He has been identified as Inderjeet Singh, a resident of Pathankote. Recovery of the stolen items is in progress, SSP informed. In yet another theft case, police recovered stolen Rikshaw and a Maruti Car from different places. These vehicles were stolen from Kathua’s main bazaar few days ago. The stolen property was restored back to their owners. The recoveries were made by a police team led by SHO Kathua Sandeep Gupta, SSP added.
