EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 2: In what could be described as prize catch for Jammu police. Police busted a network of notorious group of militants headed by Neeta, who is so called chief of Khalisthan Zindabad Force (KZF).KZF, is to mention here, is a dreaded but defunct terrorist organization which was operative in Northern states of India including J&K during insurgence phase in Punjab in mid 80's and early 90's.
As per sources police on specific information arrested three gangsters of Neeta group. Sources said that initially police lifted two gangsters identified as Parveen Kumar son of Bihari Lal and Satnam alias Tiny son of Prabu Dyal from the area and during their interrogation they confessed that they were working for Neeta. They also admitted that the cache of arms and ammunition which was recovered by BSF last year was being smuggled by Neeta from Pakistan. They had to deliver the consignment to one Darshan Singh son of Pritam Singh resident of Nadipur,RS Pura. They told police that that was the second consignment they had to deliver to him. Earlier they had also delivered narcotics to him. Sources said that on their disclosure police conducted raid at the residence of Darshan and arrested him.
Pertinent to mention here that on 29 December 2009 Border Security Forces troops deployed at Bakarpost recovered a cache of arms and ammunition. The case was registered in this connection with the RS Pura police and police was burning midnight oil to un earthen the nexus of smuggling arms and ammunition besides narcotics. Police also conducted a raid in the residence of Neeta at Simbal Morh, RS Pura but could not achieve success. Neeta is at present hiding somewhere in Pakistan and is operating smuggling from there. He has strong network in RS Pura and adjoining areas.
The raids were on till mid nights on the disclosure of Darshan and more arrests and recoveries likely, sources maintained.
