ISI tagged heroine seized from Nowshera | Police doubt ultras may carry suicide attacks on I-Day | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Aug 2: Following recovery of ISI tagged bag containing heroine from Nowshera hideout of the militants on Sunday has alarmed red signal with security agencies presuming that militants might carry out suicidal attacks by consuming heroine. Besides recovery of major arms and ammunitions in border district for the last two days has also put the security forces on high alert with police and security agencies intensified vigil. Sources said that to sabotage Independence Day celebration, militants might carryout suicidal attacks in Rajouri district as security agencies have found a bag of heroine with ISI tag on the cover which has taken way the sleep of the agencies. Sources said that ISI might be supplying these drugs for consumption of the militants so that they feel easy to carry out suicidal attacks on the eve of Independence Day. "We had recovered bag with a tag of ISI on the cover", Deputy Superintendent of Police, Farooq Qaiser told here. He said that though they are investigating the matter and cannot comment what was intention of the militants, he, however, said that they have doubt militants might brought it for their consumption so that to carryout suicidal attacks. It is pertinent to mention here that army and SoG on Sunday had busted a hideout in Nowshera area and recovered 40 KG RDX besides 455 rounds of AK-47, Chinese pistol and 60 rounds of the pistol following which they had intensified its search operations in the area. They had also found one kilogram heroine from the hideout which was tagged ISI on the cover. Meanwhile, sources said that police, army and Centre Reserve Police Forces has today busted a militant hideout in Khadrian forest of Kalakote and recovered 405 AK 47 rounds, 134 Pistol Rounds, 19 Improvised Explosive Device (IED), 60 IED fuse, rain coat, 3 pencil cells, a booster and 41 UGBL. Following this recovery, security vigil has been intensified in the area and more search operations are expected in the coming days. Sources said that militants are perhaps storing these ammunitions for disturbing the situation on the eve of Independence Day. Deputy Superintendent of Police Operations, Farooq Qaiser said that militants always try to disturb Independence day celebrations and intention here might be the same. However, he said that police and security forces are ready to tackle the situation. |
