| Cabinet approves filling of vacancies on ReT pattern | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 3:The State Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah approved the filling up of regular vacancies of teachers in the socially and educationally backward areas, identified under J&K Reservation Rules, on the pattern of Rehbar-e-Taleem Scheme prospectively for a period of two years in the first instance. Only fresh vacancies shall be utilized for the purpose after these are identified by the Chief Education Officers.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the golden handshake in favour of 31 employees and absorption of 17 employees of CONFED. The absorption of these employees will be in the Cooperative Department against available posts of Junior Assistants or equivalent.
The cabinet also approved absorption of 45 employees of CONFED against 16 class-IV posts available in Cooperative Department and 29 posts to be identified by General Administration Department in other departments.
The Cabinet in its last meeting had decided to meet every Tuesday and today’s meeting was 2nd in a row.
