Impose President’s rule in J&K: KPC

JAMMU, Aug 3: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today demanded imposition of President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir in view of the present turmoil in Valley.
In its meeting of office bearers and activists at New Delhi under the chairmanship of its National President, Kundan Kashmiri stated the urgent need of the hour is to handover the valley to the Army.
Kashmiri said that it was not only Pakistan and its agents in the valley responsible for this mass violence, but poor leadership and weak administration is equally responsible for the surge of violence in the valley. He said that to bring an end to the violence for time being at the cost of certain concessions and packages is not healthy sign of good Governance and political package for the particular section of the people in the valley will not workout, which should be seen in wider spectrum.
Cautioning the Centre, Kundan Kashmiri stated that the Centre must keep complete watch over the situation as this mass violence created in the valley is outcome of conspiracy of Pakistan and its agents which is third phase of their so called movement followed after pen and gun violence in the State for the last two decades.
Kundan Kashmiri further demanded that the minorities in Kashmir to be fully protected by providing them security cover and Kashmiri Pandit employees particularly female folk working in far flange areas of Kashmir to be shifted to the safer zones of Jammu area under proper security.
Kundan Kashmiri further stated that firing on CRPF personnel and its convoy as well as injury of hundred of CRPF jawans in the valley is a big concern for nationalist forces and demanded complete means to protect their life in order to face this challenge boldly and effectively.
Others who addressed the meeting were senior Vice President Shri M.L. Raina, Vice President Shri H.L. Mujoo, Vice President, Shri A.K. Koul, organising secretary, Shri Sushil Bhat, secretary Press Shri R.L. Raina.
