| Delegation of prominent citizens calls on Chib | | | Early Times Report
Jammu , Aug 3:A delegation of prominent citizens and sportsmen called on the Minister for Medical education, technical education and sports R S Chib and expressed their gratitude to him for taking cognizance of the request made by them with regards to injustice done to a prominent sportsman of the state, now an athletic coach in the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council, who was superseded despite persistently good performance and despite several representations made in the past the case was pending for over a decade.
The delegation led by representatives of several sports associations thanked the minister for taking a prompt action over the matter and deciding it on the basis of facts and justice. While interacting with the delegation, the minister said that it was his endeavour to decide all such issues on the basis of merit alone.
Prominent among those who called on the Minister included H S Gill, of the J&K volleyball association, S. Ajit Singh, S. Onkar Singh and S. Manmohan Singh.
