| SPOs brave act, absconders arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu,Aug 3: Two cops received critical injuries while chasing two most wanted criminals near Gorakh Nagar today. The injured were rushed to GMC hospital Jammu where their treatment was in progress.
The constables identified as SPO Jai Krishan and SPO Ravinder Kumar, posted with police station Bagh-e-Bahu, demonstrating rare courage and bravery arrested two most wanted criminals -Romy Thapa alias Kallu and Shiva. However, while chasing the absconders, the duo received critical injuries. Though, the police is tight lipped over the matter, but highly placed sources said that police has also recovered a pistol from their possession. The cops were rushed to the GMC hospital. According to the doctors Jai Krishan received fracture in his right arm while Ravinder's hip got fracture. It is worth while to mention here that the police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for Kallu's arrest. Duo criminals were booked under section 302 RPC act, sources said. |
