Sikh intellectuals frames committee affairs in valley | | | Early times Report Jammu, Aug 4: Various Sikh organization and prominent Sikh intellectuals in a meeting Nanak Nagar discussed the present turmoil in Kashmir Valley and also attack on Sikh youth beside dishonoring religious symbols, formed a committee consisting of 31 members belonging to Sikh community. The newly formed committee which met today at Gurudwara Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Derji, Chandnagar took various for further action, which include in appreciating the action of majority community of the valley in denouncing the action of miscreants who shorn the hair religious symbols of Sikh in Pulwama Distt. The committee also took note of the assurance of Majority community to minority Sikh community for their safety and security and also, maintaining age old bond of fraternity, harmony and peace. It was also decided that committee will convene a meeting where in people forms all walks of life of Jammu province including political social religious and commercial organization will be invited so as to discuss the present situation in the state and work out ways and means for peace and harmony in the valley committee also took the decision to meet frequently and act as watch dog For day to day development in the valley particularly with minorities and take further actions for the benefits of Sikh community in particular and others in general.
