Three-Day Workshop concluded in Dogra Law College

The three-day workshop held in Dogra Law College on “Legal Education, its Conceptual Dimensions and Career Prospectus” concluded today with a valedictory function. The Chief Guest of the function Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust congratulated Prof. V.K. Kapoo, Director-cum-Principal Dogra Law College and faculty members for the commencement of Academic Session 2010-11 well in advance. Addressing the students (Freshers) he told them that they had joined legal education, which has good prospects of absorbing professionals and by hard work, law students could attain success, reorganization and stability in life. He advised the students to be punctual, disciplined and dedicated towards their studies. He also assured students that they would be provided with all facilities desired of a good educational institute. He also expressed his deep concern about the situation prevailing in Kashmir province and the neglect of youth and non utilization of their energy and potential for constructive works. He advised faculty to ensure that energy and potential of youth in Dogra Law College was properly canalized.
In her remarks as the guest of honour, Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust welcomed the Freshers, and gave them good wishes for their future in legal education. Prof. B.D. Damral, Director Dogra College of Education was also present on this occasion.
Reports of various groups were presented by the Students of LL.B Five Year, 1st Semester namely Mr. Tanjiv Singh, Prerna Gupta and Siddhant Gupta. The report on Three- Day Workshop was presented by Ms. Babita (a Fresher).
In his concluding remarks, Prof. V.K.Kapoor, Director-cum-Principal, Dogra Law College extended hearty welcome to Freshers and thanked Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust for his active support and cooperation. He assured students about excellent career prospects in Legal Education in government and private sector. He also advised the students to work like horse and live like a hermit saying that for them sky was the limit in Legal Studies.
Kanika Vij and Naman Sharma, students (Frsehers) functioned as stage secretaries, while Ms. Neetu Bharti, Assistant Professor of Dogra Law College being Teacher Co-Coordinator of Three Days Workshop delivered the Vote of Thanks.
