KPs concerned about grabbing of Pandit properties in valley | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Aug 4 Sameer Raina, runner for assembly elections from district Kupwara has expressed serious concern over the torching of houses of Kashmiri Pandit community in the valley, and described it an attempt to destroy the communal harmony in the state. Raina was speaking in a meeting of KPs at Purkhoo camp Jammu. He said that it was the responsibility of government to protect the immoveable property of KPs but it has miserably failed to do so. Most of the Pandit immoveable properties have already been destroyed since 1990 and the remaining are being destroyed now. He said that government has time and again promised to bring KPs back to Kashmir valley and that their property was safe. The apprehension is that the property of KPs is not safe in the valley. The burning of revenue offices indicates the destruction of revenue record and a planned scheme to encroach upon the migrant land in the valley. Reacting on the incident of torching of KP houses yesterday, Raina said that this move was a well-planned act of jihadi mindset with clear motive of ethnic cleansing and throwing out the residual members of the minority still living in Kashmir valley. Raina urged upon the government to take strict measures to protect the KP property in the valley and also provide foolproof security to the minority community still in the valley. The meeting was attended by Dalip K. Pandit, Kuldeep K... Raina, Vinod Raina, Sandeep Bhatt, Ashwani Kaul, Ravinder Raina, Sameer Bhat and others.
