| Ban on liquor in Katra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
REASI, Aug 5: Additional District Magistrate, Reasi, Sukhdev Singh Samyal has imposed ban on sale, possession and consumption of alcohol and meat in various areas of Katra town, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. As per an order issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Reasi, the areas where the sale, possession and consumption of liquor and non-vegetarian food has been prohibited included track from holy cave to Katra and both sides of it upto a distance of 1 km, Katra town, village Arli, Mutail upto Rly. Station and village Parthal and Danna, Tikri road including villages Chamba, Serli and Bhagata, Jammu road including villages Kundorian, Nomian and upto Maggaal and Reasi road including villages Parthal, Serward upto Aghar Jitto.
