| Jamkash Vehicleads staffer held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 5: The sleuths of Crime Branch, Jammu today arrested an employee of the Jamkash Vehicleads for his alleged involvement in the embezzlement of showroom accounts causing loss to it.
Jamkash Vehicleads administration had lodged a report with the Crime Branch, Jammu alleging that a embezzlement of Rs 2,70,000 had been surfaced out in the account books of the showroom and accordingly a First Information Report (FIR) No 4/2007 was registered in this connection. Crime Branch sleuths seized the records of the showroom and during its scrutiny found an amount of Rs 2, 70,000 was embezzled .The same amount was issued to Precious Testing Company on records, but the company refuted for the acceptance of the same. After investigation, Crime Branch rounded the accountant of the showroom Sumit Baba and during interrogation he confessed his guilt. Baba was reportedly missing from the office since long. A case under section 420,120 B has been registered against him. The accountant was missing from office for the last two years. SSP Crime Branch Johny William when contacted confirmed the news and said investigation was in progress. |
