Amandeep murder : Court agrees with report of doctors suggesting no treatment to Nagar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 6: Principal Sessions Judge, Jammu, Ashok Kumar Shan today decided the letter dated July 9, 2010 whereby Supt Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal, Jammu informed the court that as advised by Dr. Dara Singh, specialist Orthopedics, GMC Hospital, Jammu that total right knee replacement of alleged accused Nagar Singh was required to be carried out in hospital at Mumbai. Court after hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi Special PP for the state and Adv VR Wazir for Nagar Singh ordered that Choudhary Nagar Singh be examined by Medical Board and for this Principal, GMC, Jammu directed to constitute Medical Board excluding Dr. Dara Singh against whom the Special Public Prosecutor has serious reservations. On Thursday, the Medical Report prepared by medical board consisting of three doctors, including an orthopedics was received and the conclusion arrived at by the Medical Board was revealed to the counsel for the parties. Board of three doctors have categorically after examining the Nagar Singh opined that rane of hios knee movements is (0-125 degrees), which is not associated with any swelling/effusion/ deformity or instability and there was no need of total replacement of right knee. The Board of doctors have not suggested any treatment of Nagar Singh. Even otherwise after going through the main challan, it is not noticed that nowhere in the interim orders it has been recorded that Nagar Singh has ever complained for severe pain to his knee. With these observations, Court disposed off application. JNF
