Mandi residents demand Guv rule in JK | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Aug 6: Terming Omar Abdullah as “killer” Chief Minister, thousands of Mandi residents today hold protest rally demanding immediate removal of Omar Abdullah and kept him responsible for deteriorating situation of Kashmir. They also appealed to the Governor to impose his rule in the state. Following Friday prayers, thousands of Mandi residents throng to streets and hold protest demonstration against government demanding immediate removal of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. The rally was organised by Peoples Democratic Party Youth State President Shamim Ganie. The protestors were raising anti-government and anti-Omar Abdullah slogans. Speaking on the occasion, Ganie said that Kashmir situation has badly affected life in whole the state. He said that Omar Abdullah has completely failed to tackle the situation and the situation has become out of control. “We are demanding his resignation and imposition of Governor rule”, he said, adding, the government is slaughtering people on the streets and are these people are enjoying powers. Meanwhile, Darhal residents also expressed their anguish over the innocent killings in Valley. Addressing Friday congregation, Khateeb Jamia Masjid Darhal Hafiz Sayeed condemned killings saying that if government forces will not stop shooting people, Darhal people will also come on streets and hold demonstrations. A special prayer was also held for the Kashmiries in the Masjid. Peoples Democratic Party leaders also hold meeting in Dak Banglow Mendher under the chairmanship of senior PDP leader Mohammad Azam Sagar where the participants condemn continuous human rights violation in Kashmir Valley.
