| Governor grieved over loss of life, property in Ladakh | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 6 – J&K Governor N. N. Vohra has expressed grief over the large number of persons killed and the enormous loss of private and public property suffered because of heavy rains and flash floods in Leh town and its adjoining areas.
The Governor expressed his deep sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in this natural calamity. He called upon the State Administration to immediately mobilize all required assistance to restore the public services and telecommunication system. The Governor appreciated promptness with which the State and Central Police Forces, and particularly the Army, had come to the rescue of the affected population.
