| Kathua Sports Association honours sharp shooter | | | Sandeep Bandral

Kathua, Aug. 6:- The Sports Association of District Kathua organized a meeting under the chairmanship of Sanjeev Verma to urge upon the DC Kathua Sanjeev Verma to honour the international shooting champion (10 meter range pistol), 18 year old Sandeep Singh Bandral s/o S.S Bandral, resident of Ward 10, Kathua to honour him on 15th August. He qualified at the Singapore International shooting championship. The chairman of the Association, Sanjeev Verma said that in the Singapore international shooting championship there were 194 competitors from 24 countries across the world while the J&K born little International shooting champion Sandeep Singh Bandral qualified and obtained 21st position out of 194 competitors of 24 countries and get selected for European world shouting championship to be held in Spain in October of this year. The general secretary of the Association Pankaj Chalotra mentioned the achievements of this young champion. Bandral is the only single shooting champion in J&K and in the country who got total number of 19 including 6 silver, 4 bronze, and 9 gold medals from various state and national level shouting championships. Representing India in Singapore International shooting championship, he earned 21st position. The most important thing is that he brought the name of Kathua into lime light on world level.
