| Zulfikar concerned over shortage of fertilizers in Rajouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Aug 6:
Expressing concern over hardship being faced by the farmers due to non availability of fertilizers, MLA Darhal and district president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rajouri, Choudhary Zulfikar has flayed the local administration for its failure to ensure supply of fertilizers at this crucial time.
Addressing series of public meetings in Darhal assembly segment, Choudhary Zulfikar regretted that problems of the farmers were repeatedly brought before the notice of the concerned authorities but no action has been taken so far.
He alleged that though sowing season is going but the farmers are not getting fertilizers due to nexus between some officers and dealers.
MLA expressed surprise that on one hand authorities have been claiming that adequate fertilizers are supplied but in reality farmers are not getting the same. He said that some persons have been openly selling the fertilizers in black but the concerned authorities are failed to take action against such farmers.
Demanding emergent step to ensure supply of fertilizers in Rajouri district, Choudhary Zulfikar reminded the authorities that farmers of this region have already lost their four successive crops due to dry spell and this time farmers are finding it difficult to sow their fields due to non available of fertilizers.
