| Abhishek to meet Miyan Bashir in Jr Billiards final | | | early times report
JAMMU, August 6: Abhishek Goswami shall take on Miyan Bashir in the final of junior billiards event of the ongoing 20th State Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
In the semi-finals, played today, Abhishek defeated Ishan Chowdhary 3-2 in a close contest while Miya Bashir defeated Vikas Gupta 3-1 to make it to the final.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, played this morning, Vikas and Ishan Chowdhary had easy wins over their opponents while Miyan Bashir and Abhishek were shown some resistance by Gagandeep Singh and Fahad Handoo respectively before they lost the games 1-2.
Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the senior billiards event shall start tomorrow, followed by the finals of different age groups.
