| Blind murder case solved | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 6: Satwari police has claimed to have worked out a blind murder case of girl child after it arrested the main accused involved in the crime.
The 7- year old girl identified as Reena Anguri daughter of Babu Lal resident of Shatarpur at present Shastri Nagar was missing few days back and a report in this regard was lodged with Gandhi Nagar police station. While the investigation of the police was in progress her body in a pool of blood was recovered from Digiana Pulli and accordingly a case under section 174 Cr PC was registered with the Satwari police.
A police team led by Sub Inspector Rajesh Sharma was deputed to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the girl and subsequently her killing.
As the inquiry into the case progressed, the police came to the conclusion that before killing the girl, the accused repeatedly committed rape on her.
During investigation police came to know that she was last seen with her neighbour identified as Shankar son of Vijay Lal.
When police conducted a raid in his residence he was found absconding. Police, on specific information, conducted raid in a slum near Bari Brahmana Railway station and arrested him. The accused confessed his crime during questioning and accordingly a case under section 302,376 RPC was registered against him. |
