Corruption charges framed against civil employee of Army | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 7:- Special Judge Anti-corruption, Jammu, AK Koul has framed charges against Mohinder Raj who while posting as civil employee in the office of OC detachment, Jammu and during the period January, 2005 to March 2005 has misappropriated Rs more than 1.5 lacs. In the order, it has been mentioned that while accused were dealing with pay and allowances of civil employees working in the detachment has fraudulently prepared an application for withdrawal of Rs 1 lakh on account of GP Fund from the account of one Ram Sunder who have never applied for such withdrawal and fraudulently deposited in his own account. The accused also prepared medical claim bills of the civil employees and drawn the amount and credited same in his one account.
Court framed charges against the accused u/s 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) of J&K PC Act and after hearing both the sides observed that in order to perpetrate the fraud, the accused pretended to be person who were entitled to the money misappropriated and while doing so accused committed forgery of accounts/ cheque slips and used those falsified documents for the purpose of cheating, he dishonestly induced so many persons to deliver the money which he were not otherwise entitled so also committed offence u/s 420, 467, 468 and 471 RPC.
