| Food & allied workers union protest against director CAPD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 7: Food and Allied Workers Union, J&K today staged protest demonstration against director CAPD for not implementing government order.
They alleged that the concerned department has not implemented the government order No.l 17 -CAPD of 2009 dated 29-12-2009, No.09 CAPD of 2010 dated 29-1-2010 and letter No. FK-9(5) Gen/94-II dated 9-6-2010, 40 CAPD of 2010 Dt: 03-06-2010 .
Bishan Dass, president said, ‘Since eight months have elapsed the above mentioned orders have not been implemented by the director CA & PD Jammu for unknown reasons’.
He condemned the apathetic attitude of the CA&PD Jammu for his anti-workers policies.
The employees and workers unanimously decided to give 15 days time to the Director CA&PD, Jammu as a last opportunity for implementing the said government orders in letter and spirit and other grievances, failing which the workers will resort to agitational path from August 23 and will stop the operation of loading and unloading of foodgrains in all depots throughout the Jammu province .
The leaders unanimously appealed to the Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department Qamar Ali Akhoon to personally intervene and enquire for delay in the implementation of the said Govt orders.
Those who participated in the protest included Dev Raj from Udhampur, Dewan Chand Kathua, Ashok Kumar Nowshera, Sameer Khan Rajouri, Gattu Sahib, Doda and others.
