| Donate generously for Leh victims: Sewa Bharti | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 7:Sewa Bharati Jammu and Kashmir held a meeting to chalk out the strategy to provide immediate relief to the victims of natural disaster in Leh.
Representatives of various social organisations attended the meeting and paid homage to those who died in this disaster.
On the occasion, a trust was formed under the name Ladakh Aapda Sahayata Samiti (LASS) to assist the victims and affected families in Leh.
Brig (Retd) Suchet Singh was unanimously elected President of the trust and Dr Kuldeep Gupta as Secretary while Abhay Pargal was appointed as Treasurer.
After the meeting president LASS Suchet Singh appealed to the people to donate generously for Leh victims so that the affected may get relief.
He told reporter in a press conference organised by Sewa Bharti that Ladakh Kalyan Sangh has started relief and rehabilitation at Leh soon after the disaster.
Kalyan Sangh is providing ration and medicines to the affected people.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Sahayata Samiti donated Rs One lakh and Jai Kargil Jai Bharat Kosh has also donated Rs One lakh each to the Ladakh Aapda Sahayata Samiti. LASS has opened an account in Punjab National Bank for donations having A/c No 1948000101057923.
