| Pvt clinics playing with health of people, alleges JKSSSC | | |

Jammu, Aug 7: To apprise the government regarding wrong treatment by private clinics, Jammu and Kashmir State Samaj Sudhar Committee, an NGO, held a press conference in which activists demanded stern action against the erring doctors and private clinics who are looting poor people in lieu of providing the best treatment. Pointing towards a private clinic- MEDI AIDS , situated in posh locality of Channi Himmat, the spokesperson Yousaf Wani, showing stitch marks of a sufferer Nazira wife of Mohd Sharief resident of Sunjwan, said that the attending doctors Sadhna and Surinder advised her for operation of cist after going through the ultra sound reports, but unfortunately the operation was conducted on the other side. After sometime, he alleged, the patient experienced pain and the same doctors advised for operation again. He alleged that ultimately she was rushed to CMC Ludhiana for operation. He also appealed the Health Minister to take stern action against such erring doctors and private clinics.
When contacted to the proprietor of the MEDI-AIDS, Dr Gagan Singh in his clarification said that she was earlier operated by Care and Cure hospital. She developed cist in her ovaries after sometime and was operated by gynaecologist Sadhana in his clinic .When contacted to Dr Sadhana, she said since cist was movable therefore some part of it was moved to right side of the ovary.
