Sadhotra hails CM for providing relief to Leh victims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 8: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, spokesperson, Ajay Sadhotra expressed shock and grief over the havoc created by flood in Leh resulting in hundreds of people died and missing. Party appreciates the initiatives taken by the Coalition Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for providing relief and initiating quick rescue operations. Sadhotra has also expressed serious concern over the flash floods and rains, in Jammu region. He has asked the Government to get the losses of houses, crops, livestock’s and human life, if any, assessed by sending the teams on war footing and adequate compensation relief be given to the victims of rains and floods in the region and also asked the administration to fully prepare itself to face any type of eventuality due to flash floods in Jammu region. Sadhotra expressed sympathies with the families of those unfortunately killed due to stone pelting or firing in the valley. He appealed to the people of valley in general to maintain peace and particularly youth not to be misled. NC leader also appealed to the separatists and other groups to respond positively to the offer of talks by the Government of India so that there could be a lasting solution for complex problem of Kashmir and could say good bye to the death and destruction and restore peace. Sadhotra said he salutes the people of Jammu for maintaining traditional communal brotherhood, calm and peace in Jammu region and frustrating the evil designs of the destructive forces. He appealed to the people to be vigilant and support Omar Abdullah, at this juncture, when Government is fighting proxy war waged from across the border.
