| VDC member injured in accidental fire | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 9:A village defense committee member in village Marha allegedly fired upon another member injuring him seriously. He has been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu.
As per sources, a VDC member Mushtaq Ahmed allegedly fired upon his own member Maqsood Ahmed son of Fazil Hussain resident of Marha village injuring him badly. Following the incident, the injured VDC member was shifted to Sub District Hospital Surankote where he was turned crtical which forced the doctors to refer him to GMC Jammu
Deputy Superintendent of Police Surankote when contacted termed it an incidental fire saying “There was no intention of the VDC man to fire his fellow and it is purely unintentional fire”, he said.
