| JKPP holds awareness programme | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 8:A one day awareness programme on 3- Tier Panchayati Raj System was organised today by the Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Parishad (JKPP).
Master Lal Chand - M.L.A Bani , chief guest on the occasion stressed on the functional decentralization of powers at the grass root level for effective 3-tier Panchayati Raj System. He invited JKPP to organize another such programme at Bani and such like other places.
Gupta- President JKPP informed that a delegation had met the President- All India Panchayat Parishad-Delhi, Sh. Subodh Kant Sahai-Union Minister for Food Processing Induslrles on 28th July 2010 al Party head quarter in Delhi and requested him also to write to the State Govt. for earlier Panchayat elections.
Naib Tehsildar-Basohli, Block Development officer Basohli, Secretary Panchayat, Officers and officials of Animal & Sheep Husbandry Deptt., Engineers of P.W.D and Electrical Department were among the prominent participants in the programme.
Jugal Kishore Gupta - President JKPP presided over the function. Dr. Goral Dass Sharma- Member All India Panchayat Council (AIPC) highlighted the role of Panchayati Raj System in the national development. Mr. Surjit Rampal also member AIPe, said that the public should vote and elect a person as Panch or Sarpanch very cautionsally. Noar Mohd. Afzal (District Vice President JKPP), Yoginder Singh(President JKPP Block Basohli), and Devinder Singh discussed in detail the various aspects of PRI's which could uplift the life of rural masses,
