| MFC to function from Aug 15 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 8:Minister for Medical Education Mr. R. S. Chib, today chaired the first meeting of the Managing Committee of Jammu Medical College Medical Faculty Club.
Important decisions with regard to the functioning of the club were taken during deliberations.
The newly setup club will start functioning from August 15 with the enrollment of only in-service faculty members. The annual membership has been fixed at Rs 500 as, besides Rs 1200 per annum for the membership of the spouse.
The meeting also deiced that the by laws and rules of the club shall be finalized within three weeks by the Rules framing Committee already constituted with Dr Aniece Chowdhary as its Convenor. Important decisions about the management of financial matters of the club were also taken.
The Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed committee room of the Club on the occasion.
Earlier, the minister visited Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGC) Hospital Jammu to monitor the functioning in the newly set up additional Pediatric block.
Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Rajinder Singh, Secretary Medical Faculty Club, Dr Aniece Choudhary, Prof and HOD GMC and Deputy medical Superintendent accompanied the minister,
The Minister went around the wards of the newly set up block and interacted with the faculty members he patients and their attendants. .
