| Director SSA lays foundation of school buildings | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 8:Director, Sarv Shiksha Abhyan (SSA), J&K, Mr. Vinay Mohan Raina today laid foundation stone four additional rooms at Government Girls High School, Garhi here today.
Chief Education officer, Udhampur, Mr. S.K. Gandotra, District Planning and Education Officer, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Zonal Education Officer, Tikri, Principals Government Higher Secondary Schools, Headmaster, Government High School, Garhi, Engineers and Members of village Education Committee were present on the occasion.
Being constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.60 lacs, the four rooms building would be completed in a stipulated time frame.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Raina said that with the completion of building long pending demand of the locality would be fulfilled besides students would have congenial reading atmosphere. He asked the members of Village Education Committee to ensure quality and time bound completion of the building for the benefit of student community.
Mr Raina fave a the detailed resume of different activities under SSA, especially designed for raising the educational standard in government schools of the state. He exhorted upon the teachers to put in their best efforts in imparting quality education to students.
Chief Education Officer complimented the Director SSA for taking extra initiatives for ensuring the percolation of the benefits of SSA at grass root level. He said development of any educational institution was a continuous process adding that other requirements of the school would be met n a phased manner.
