| AISF organises photo exhibition on freedom fighters | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 9: All India Students' Federation (AISF) today organized a photo Exhibition in N G M Higher Secondary School Miran Sahib to commemorate and pay homage to freedom fighters, who contributed and sacrificed their lives for a free India. The Photo exhibition was inaugurated by Chairman N G M Higher Secondary School Sushil Mahajan.
Speaking on the occasion, AISF State President Dr Vimal Manhas while addressing the students said true story of 1857 India uprising has to be reconstructed as narratives of the great mutiny are only from the account of contemporary British Historians and British rulers themselves.
It need more research at grass-root levels.
AISF State president informed that such photo exhibitions highlighting contributions of freedom movement heroes will be organized in other educational institutions of the state also to pay homage to such heroes to educate young generation about their supreme sacrifices.
AISF leaders paid floral tributes to the freedom fighters who remained in jail for several years at various intervals of their life for organizing and launching peasant movements as well as traders movements during British Raj.
