| Anganwari workers seek seniority based promotion | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 9 : J&K Anganwari Workers and Helpers Union was held a protest demonstration on Monday inside the office of the Director, Social Welfare Deportment Jammu to show the resentment against the unnecessary delay regarding the promotion of Anganwari workers as supervisors for which deliberate of D.P.C having been taking place for the last 6 months and list for promotion of supervisors has not been declared till date.
The workers from various districts who fall in the seniority list of promotion staged protest demonstration and raised slogans for immediate release of promotion list strictly as per the seniority list from the date of joining in the service.
Addressing the dharna, Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State President of the Union urged upon the commissioner/ secretary and Director, Social Welfare, Jammu to intervene personally for setting the things right and immediate release of promotion list. Members urged upon director, social welfare, Jammu for immediate release of funds for payment of wages to the workers which are pending for the last more than six months. The protest was included with Nagena Kousar, Renu Sharma, Savita Kakkar, Babu Hussain Malik and Gulshan Ara. |
