Cricket season to start from mid of October | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, August 10: With Jammu wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) claims to have completed the initial round of coaching camps in different age categories, the stage is set for the cricket season ahead. The North Zone Fixture Committee, in a meeting held in July last, has already finalized the domestic fixture for the season. To begin with, the first event shall be the inter-state women’s under-19 one-dayers scheduled to held from October 10. “All the four league matches of the women’s under-19 age category have been allotted to JKCA at Srinagar. It will be followed by under-22 Col. C K Nayudu Trophy 4-day matches. The first two matches of under-22 against Goa and Himachal Pradesh again have been allotted to JKCA at Srinagar,” vice-chairman of JKCA Jammu wing, Shambu Nath told Sports & Allied News. However, the JKCA Jammu wing is yet to hold the preliminary round of coaching camp in under-22 category. “The only left out category for initial round of coaching camp is under-22 group. So, we have decided to hold the coaching session in this particular group from August 16 at GGM Science College Hostel ground,” he further said. The other events scheduled for October are Twenty20 League Tournament for Mushtaq Ali Trophy and under-19 Vinoo Mankad one-day tournament.
