NCP chief to take up J&K issues at all-party meet | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 10: Former Minister of Tourism and Ladakh affairs Thakur Randhir Singh, NCP chief, J&K state, who flew to New Delhi to attend the All Party meeting at New Delhi today will take up many issues pertaining to state with Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The main issues will be regional imbalances , Delimitation , implementation of 73rd and 74th amendments , implementation of Panchayati raj act in J&K and strengthening of RTI act besides education , unemployment and provision of special subsidy to Aromatic and medicinal plants growers like other states and declare J&K as a herbal state which can provide sustainable employment to the youth of athree regions and also to the thousands of unemployed agriculture Technocrates in the state. He will also emphasise the Prime Minister about some politicians , bureaucrates and contractors nexus who have polluted the political atmosphere in the state and are using militancy as a industry. Thakur Randhir Singh, NCP chief is also meeting Union Minister For Agriculture Sharad Pawar and will take up the issue of providing relief for the victims of Ladakh cloudburst from NCP and as a National president Aromatic and Medicinal plants growers Association of India he will take up the issue regarding the scheme of National Horticulture Board "Development of Commercial Horticulture Through Production & Post Harvest Management " which is not considered to be suitable for the farmers of the Jammu and Kashmir and other hill states where the land holdings of the farmers are very small.
