CBJ registers FIR against ASCOMS | | | Early Times Report Jammu, August-10: Crime Branch, Jammu today registered FIR 19/2010 against Management and Officers/ Officials of ASCOMS Sidhra u/s 420/467/468/471 r/w section 120-B RPC and started investigation. According to FIR a letter dated February 28, 2006 written by Additional Secretary Health & Medical Education Dept to IGP Crime which was received in the Crime Branch on March 1, 2006 wherein it has been alleged that illegal practices are being carried out by the Management of ASCOMS SIDHRA by way of incorporating wrong entries in the OPD in patient Dept registers by showing dead person admitted/treated in the hospital. On receipt of this letter along with a complaint a preliminary enquiry was initiated and during the course of enquiry it has been prima-facie found that some dead persons have been shown admitted in hospital records just to enhance the strength of patients in the hospital, maximum number of patients registered in OPD were without full particulars and addresses, some trainees in ASCOMS have been shown as junior nurses to increase the strength of staff, some employees shown on the pay role of ASCOMS were in fact working in different depts., the records in this regards have been fabricated by the Authorities of ASCOMS just to fulfill the Medical Council of India Rules and Regulations. The commission and omission committed by the Management/Officers/Officials of ASCOMS Sidhra prima-facie constitute offences u/s 420/467/468/471 r/w section 120-B RPC and 120-B RPC and formal case was registered in Crime Branch Jammu under FIR 19/2010 and investigation entrusted to Inspector Ghulam Hassan Kammal.
