ISI’s special squads ready to sneak into LoC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Aug 10: Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) has reportedly prepared special squads for carrying out attacks in twin border districts on the eve of Independence Day of India. However Indian Intelligence agencies are well prepared to tackle the situation, highly placed sources said. Intelligence sources have reportedly get input that ISI has prepared some special squads to carryout attacks on Indian soil especially in twin border districts to disrupt Independence day celebrations. As per sources, a huge number of militants have been kept ready along Line of Control on various launching pads for pushing them towards Poonch and Rajouri area. These militants have reportedly been assigned the job of carrying out attacks on the eve of Independence Day. Sources said that militants might take the advantage of rainy whether and growing of grass on Line of Control and they are trying to sneak into Indian territory. However, Indian security agencies have already got the input and they are well prepared to deal with the infiltrators. Talking to a local news channel on Tuesday, Deputy Inspector General of Police Poonch- Rajouri range SDS Jamwal has confirmed that a huge number of militants on special job to carry out attacks on the Independence Day are trying hard to infiltrate into Poonch and Rajouri areas. “We have received inputs from the agencies that some militants are ready to infiltrate and these militants have been trained to carry out attacks during Independence Day celebrations”, DIG said. DIG said that though infiltration attempt is regular phenomenon of militants yet they have received reports that militants are trying to take advantage of grass and foggy weather conditions on LoC to sneak into this side. “We are well prepared to respond them and we are already in contacts with other security agencies to foil all the attempts of militants”, he said adding that they have intensified security on the eve of Independence Day and they will foil any attempt of militants. “The Independence Day will be celebrated with as usual pomp and show”, he added.
